My journey starts like many others, with a love for life, good food, and staying active. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I’m 48 years old and have always had a passion for cooking, golf, and traveling—especially to Spain, where my roots are deeply tied to the Mediterranean way of life.
After spending 15 years as a chef and another 15 years in the finance industry, I realized something had shifted. Like many of us, life got busy, and I slowly started losing sight of the things that truly made me feel alive and healthy. I’ve always played sports—ice hockey, soccer, tennis—but golf became my favorite. It’s more than just a game for me. It’s a combination of being in nature, enjoying friendly competition, staying active, and most importantly, having fun.
But over time, I found myself at a point where my health, both physically and mentally, wasn’t where I wanted it to be. It was time for a change.
That’s when I rediscovered the Mediterranean lifestyle.
This way of life didn’t just bring small changes—it transformed me completely. The combination of fresh, wholesome food, staying active, and making time for the things and people I love made a huge difference in my overall well-being.
It wasn’t about diets or restrictions. It was about living with joy, balance, and purpose.
I saw such incredible benefits—better health, more energy, and a renewed sense of happiness—that I knew I had to share this with others.
I want everyone to know how life-changing it can be.
That’s why I started Casa Miguel.
I created Casa Miguel for YOU, because I want to help people experience the same transformation I did. My goal is simple: to provide you with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to live a healthier and happier life.
